Since it's a milestone day, I figured I would showcase a few of my all-time favorite wildlife pictures taken over the years.

Day 16 - Punxsutawney Phil was wrong!

So much for an early Spring! We got hit by a Nor'easter today. It started this morning and will last until tomorrow. We should get about 6-8 inches.
The birds were not happy about the snow this morning. You can see by the look on the bird's face - a Tufted Titmouse - that he is more than ready for Spring. At least Charlie had fun catching snowflakes on her tongue!

Day 7 - Cardinal

You will probably see a lot of birds on this blog over the next year. I love birdwatching and photographing the beautiful birds I see in my backyard.
This is a male Northern Cardinal. The male Cardinals are the bright red ones you see. Females are a tan/yellowish color with red beaks and red tint on the wings and tail. The brighter red males feed at higher rates than duller males. So I suspect this guy has had a pretty good winter!
