Day 64 - Art

Wadsworth Atheneum
Jonnie's favorite painting

"The Declaration of Independence" by John Trumbull

We visited the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford today. The Wadsworth is the oldest public art museum in the country. I haven't been there in years and years and I forgot how beautiful it is.

I LOVE the Atheneum!!

The woman in the lawnchair still brings back the giggly nostalgia of my 3rd field trip. I haven't been there in yonks, but another visit is definitely in store.

Fabulous photos. The lighting and mix of colors in the first one is stunning. You really captured the beauty of an underlooked museum.

The Dali's there are a hoot.
